Partner Spotlight: JFK Hospital
The John F. Kennedy Medical Center is the national medical center of Liberia, located in the capital city of Monrovia. The JFK Medical Center was built as a result of collaboration between the Liberian and United States government through several million dollars in loans and grants. The mission of the JFK Hospital is to provide the population with comprehensive health care through curative and preventative measures. The hospital is also a teaching center for healthcare workers and research. Unfortunately, during the 23-year long Liberian Civil War, the medical center sustained heavy damage and was essentially reduced to shambles.
In 2019, CWRU MedWish and MedWish International repaired and shipped 2 Nellcor Pulse Oximeters and 1 Welch Allyn Propaq Vital Sign Monitor (total value of $14,900 USD) to JFK Hospital.
